Anyone else sick of seeing Tom styer the liars smear and attack ads against Becerra? It’s such a poorly managed campaign for governor of California to attack the Dem candidate and be buddies w the two maga republican candidates. Do not trust billionaires is the morale of the story.
No one candidate is perfect and looking for one will backfire for democrats. Having said that Becerra is the strongest candidate on paper, now that he is rising in the polls he is also becoming the strongest contender.

My 2 cents here….. after much deliberation I’m leaning towards Steyer. We’re living in a Trump induced state of chaos. Corruption, grift a lack of integrity and accountability. I’m looking for someone who’s going to focus on improving the lives of ALL Californians. Someone who literally doesn’t need the check. So, he won’t be beholding to anyone except the people of CA. His mistakes have been well documented and he’s not hiding from them. He spends his money on progressive causes and is a strong advocate for climate justice, immigrant advocacy, income inequality, housing, reigning in AI. Again, when we know better we are called to do better and I believe he’s doing that. He’s the grown up in the room to trust. I believe he’s got the intellect, passion and heart to lead CA. Full disclosure. In 2010 I was on the board of a large Dem Club in OC, CA. During that time I had the pleasure to meet, speak and share with Steyer, Porter and Yee. All would do a fine job as governor. Right now Steyer would be my choice to run CA.
We have 2 debates coming up. KTLA is hosting 5 candidates on 4/22 7:00 PM and CNN 5/3 6:00 PM.
Porter may treat her staff like trash, but give her an expert chief of staff and that can be fixed. Her policies seem more realistic then the others, and I don't believe a thing from Steyer's campaign. Billionaires lie. Porter has earned my cautious trust, for policy.
The post-Swalwell polling is going to be really significant to see who actually has a realistic path to being on the general election ballot.
Ideally most of the folks still polling in single digits will choose to drop out sooner rather than later so California liberals can consolidate around a couple options
I’m voting for Porter. She impressed me in congress. I think she’s strong and smart and would make a great governor. I wish the rest of the low polling losers would DROP OUT. Especially Villaraigosa. He was a shit mayor. We surely don’t need him as governor.
I followm politics more than the typical citizen and want to compliment you on how great this breakdown is. 🙌🏾💚🎉 Best is how easy it is to send out to others so they can catch up on what’s going on.
I think this provides more incentive to adopt a rank choice vote or similar multi-interest vote system. It wouldn't be a solution for this election, but should be a goal to voice and petition for once a new governor is elected.
My biggest fear is people will dig down and still vote for their guy despite poor numbers and ca will end up with two GOP in the election. People need to rally behind one. Others should drop out

We need to change the way we do primaries in California. This jungle primary is crazy.
The top two candidates, no matter what party
We need the top candidate from democrat and the top candidate from Republican to go on ballot
