I'm amazed by all the rewrites of the bible that Evangelical Christians do.
Given the conservative Evangelical belief system, it makes PERFECT sense that they've responded so intensely to the politicians and others who purvey "great replacement theory". If the world is full of the devil's agents trying to turn "Christians" into worldly, godless pagans (i.e., "replace" them), then it is the easiest, most lateral step to buy into great replacement theory as it relates to race & culture. It makes sense of why whiteness is so central to their "Christianity", and their nationalism, etc...
P.s., I owe that intuition to Dr. Ibram X. Kendi's latest book, "Chain of Ideas". It's an excellent, deep-dive work of historical context for today's "great replacement" movements.

Then Meghan Trainer made it her mission to find him and have him dance onstage with her. We all need to dance like no one is watching.
