The Nuremberg Laws in 1935 made marriage between an “Aryan” & a Jewish person illegal. However, a problem: Tens of thousands of such couples already existed at the time. It would have been a nightmare to deal with blowback if the govt dissolved all of them, so they came up with various criteria & characteristics were disqualifying and not. For example, like an aryan man+jewish woman who had no children, and/or how much “Jewish blood” they each had (half Jewish, 1/4, 1/8, the less the “better”). There was also the issue of blowback, and some of these interfaith couples were members of notable”Aryan” families.
Also, some non-Jewish German men chose to divorce their Jewish wives. Sometimes the marriage was dissolved, often under immense government and social pressure, in order to keep their jobs, advance their careers, or marry an "Aryan" woman.

But if they can replace Usha with Erika, then they might hope to keep the gen z boys and use her “grief” to keep older people. (Of course it fits better with their narrative if she leaves him.)
Though I still think the Kirk interest has run its course with the average American.
