I'm a boomer and I totally agree with V.. I'm fucking 80 and I really am disappointed in the Dems and want younger politicians to come to the fore. Chuck Shumer should step aside.. Klobuchar would be a good alternative.. sort of in the middle of old/young/establishment/new I don't want to completely quit fighting but last night was depressing. DEPRESSING!
I'm so excited about seeing young people step up and vote and run for office and CARE! I love AOC and Bernie working together - young and old - and Newsom fighting fire with fire. I think we have fallen into a terrible trap of thinking that democracy is always going to be there. It has to be fought for over and over. Redefined and reimagined.. We cannot take it for granted. Ever again. This will be a long hard disgusting year but we shall prevail.
The "Schumer gets people elected story" is in its final chapter if it hasn't already completed as evidenced last week. EVEN IF THAT IS TRUE....it is time for him to go.

I am a Boomer. I want Chuck Shumer to be ousted from minority leader. We need a younger person for this position. We also need younger people as Senators and House Representatives.
Klobuchar is my Senator and I've voted for her everytime. She used to be edgy and forceful and had a demanding presence. Not any more. She's like a 2 degree difference from Schumer and would do everything the same way. She'd be schumer-lite. She's a mistake. Chris Murphy is a solid choice or maybe Elizabeth Warren if she can break the Republican misogyny they'd hurl at her 24/7. But definitely NOT Amy.

I’m not young but I’d still be totally in support of getting rid of Schumer and bring in someone who’s not part of the establishment.
