THE FIRST POPE TO GO TO A WAWA: Everything You Need To Know About Pope Leo XIV
Is The Latin Yankee a “Woke Marxist,” an “Enlightened Centrist,” or… something worse?
I wanna talk about Wawa for a second. Yes, this is the right article, bare with me.
For anybody that isn’t from the east coast, particularly the northeastern part of the U.S., Wawa is a chain of convenience stores and gas stations that people are VERY passionate about, because of their incredibly affordable coffee and their surprisingly delicious sandwiches. Yes - we love our Wawa up here, folks. Yes - there is a never ending debate between whether Wawa is better than the OTHER big convenience store/gas station/restaurant hybrid Sheetz. And YES, Sheetz is better. FIGHT ME. I have an opinion on this battle and I am firmly on the side of Sheetz.
But you know who also likely has an opinion on the eternal Wawa/Sheetz war? The sitting pope. That’s because of the unprecedented move that has been made of electing an American to the papacy. User VUmander, on the r/philadelphia Subreddit, even made the observation that, “There's a chance he's the first pope to have been to a Wawa.” This observation got me thinking about a few things though. Things like:
Oh, that is weird that a Pope has likely never had Wawa before.
Wait, how different is it going to be having an American pope?
And why am I getting a text about Laura Loomer calling this pope the “Woke Marxist Pope?”
People have been going a bit crazy one way or the other on social media about Pope Leo XIV, who on one end is being called a “WOKE MARXIST PUPPET IN THE VATICAN” by Trump’s BFF and former Twitter door-chainer Laura Loomer… and on the other, is being called “an active Republican primary voter.” So… which is it? Is he a woke Marxist or is he a Republican? The truth, like in most cases, is a lot more complicated than that.
