This struck me because my 37 year old daughter just said yesterday that her generation was being skipped. She is relatively active politically. She worked for the Biden campaign in 2020, regularly writes her Congress people, and even wrote President Clinton when she was nine asking why there wasn’t a children’s day and he sent her back a proclamation declaring one for that year. I was active on my local community council for 16 years and knew when I didn’t have the energy to be active enough anymore though I still love a good rally and am active with our local DNC (little blue college community in red red Tennessee. Recently went to Elizabeth Warrens town hall in nearby Nashville. Our relative was Jeanette Rankin, the first woman elected to US Congress in 1916 (she couldn’t even vote for herself) and she either introduced or co-sponsored the 19th amendment and was a founding member of the ACLU. It’s in our genes🤣. I don’t want her to feel disenfranchised. I want all three of my liberal daughters to feel empowered and it dismays me to think they feel defeated. That’s a long way of saying thank you for this video (how to run for something). I will be sending it to all my daughters. Annie Armour Morgret Sewanee TN
