Tell the dust bunnies that New York has ranked elections and they must not put Cumo on any of the places or leave any blank. Otherwise Cuomo might still get in even if more voters put Zohran first, because Cuomo could appear on more ballots. A weird system!

Mamdani reminds me so much of Lin Manuel Miranda. Would love to see an interview with them.

New York was a refuge for many- myself included. But I lived there through the transition of it becoming a haven not for artists, immigrants, working class people, and folks looking for community - but billionaires. I along with many were forced out, unable to pay the rent, let alone raise a family. Yet I’m among there lucky, able to move, unlike so many folks who have made NYC a home for generations.

I’m so hopeful that Mamdani can help bring about economic justice for working folks and creative folks who make NYC the greatest city in the world. Great interview. Thanks for your reporting and insight.

Obviously (and ironically) You Don't Mess with This Zohran!

Seriously, the housing policies alone make him absolutely someone any major City should vote in.

If you really want to understand why, just look at my own home city of San Francisco where all the freaks, artists and musicians have been priced so far out of the City (and the entire SF Bay Area) that they've moved two to three hours out of town. Yes, the tech people have brought a huge amount of money into SF but at the cost of cultural devastation because they people that were the reason they all wanted to live there are all gone, forced out by exorbitant and rapidly rising housing costs and unconscionable landlords who find ways to bypass any sort of tenant protections.

I wish Zohran well!

My folks moved out to long Island after I was born and then moved to the deep South when Long Island started to get too expensive...

We definitely need adorable housing all across the USA

Youre as retarded as you look, letting muslims into office are we serious now? Look at how they colonised the middle east and you wanna say americas history is bad? Islams religion is about colonialism and destroying culture. This is a christian country with christian values no one other than a christian should be able to run in office not even me because im an atheist. I grew up muslim this religion is DISGUSTING but you liberals don’t wanna believe it, you feminists dont care about us women actually effected and oppressed by islam instead you support the evil so you dont look like a bad person

Well, at least this election wont be dull! With Cuomo not dropping out and running as an independent along with Adams virtually assures a Mamdani victory!
